The Penguin walks forward with a tilt-stride action and turns by sweeping both feet on the ground in opposite directions. This basic biped design works best in the Penguin's small scale. The battery-operated i-Que uses twin motors and track balls to easily navigate flat surfaces, is able to work itself out of corners, ducks as it passes under low tables or chairs, and is smart enough to not go over edges of counters, stairs, or other drops. When it starts to run low on power, the robot guides itself back to its docking station to recharge.
